The Ned was such a lovely surprise. I stayed there during a business trip and only found out at the last minute that I was going to stay there so I didn't even look it up online before heading to London. As I got out of the Bank underground station, I didn't know what to look for so I took my phone out of my bag and opened Google Maps. Turns out The Ned was right next to the station, literally a one minute walk away! The building is gorgeous, I wish I took a picture to show you guys but I was just in awe that I completely forgot. It used to be a bank so you can imagine how massive it is. Apparently there is even a bar/lounge in the old bank vaults there, with the door being an actual 20-tonne vault door - how cool, I'm so gutted I missed that!

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left the hotel, the service was fantastic. When I arrived, a lovely guy helped me with my bags, asked me if it was my first time here and we had a really nice chat and he showed me the way to the check-in counter. The hall is absolutely massive (and oh so gorgeous) and as it was my first time there, without his help I'm pretty sure it would have taken me a good few minutes to find where to check-in! The woman at check-in was also really lovely - everyone was just really friendly and welcomed me with a warm smile. Then I took the elevator up to my room...

The room

I honestly never fell asleep faster and slept better in my whole life. Yes, the bed is THAT comfortable. I'm the type of person that takes forever to fall asleep and always wakes up way before the alarm goes off - but this time I fell asleep as soon as I went to bed and slept all the way through the night and didn't wake up before my alarm. Oh and I was the happiest girl ever when I saw there were seven pillows on the bed - I truly believe you can never have too many pillows! I currently sleep with three at home and always wish I had more haha.

If I had to try and find a downside, I would say that the room is a little dark, you can see on the pictures below that there's no much light coming in... But I guess when you're staying in a hotel you're usually out all day and only come back to your room in the evening, so it's not a bad thing in itself. It also means it's pitch black during the night (thanks also to the maaassive curtains) and it might be the reason why I slept so well!

It's all about the details at The Ned... Yes, there was a Conde Nast Traveller mag in my room! Yay!
I am obsessed with hotel bathrooms, am I the only one?

The Food - Kaia Restaurant

There are plenty of restaurant options if you wish to eat at The Ned. After a very long and busy day, we decided to have dinner at Kaia, an Asian-Pacific-inspired restaurant in the hall of the hotel. And it was de-li-cious! Trust me when I say it tasted as good as it looked. I had the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and I have been dreaming of this poke bowl ever since. I've tried to recreate it at home countless times, but to no avail...

The rooftop

The next morning, after the best sleep ever, I met the team on the rooftop for breakfast. It's probably my favourite place in the hotel (after the spectacular hall!) The rooftop offers such a beautiful view of the city and St Paul's Cathedral, it's definitely worth a visit. The chairs and tables reminded me of some Parisian caf├ęs - j'adore!

I have been obsessed with coconut yogurt for the past few months (if you follow me on Instagram you should already know about my coconut obsession...) so I had to order the coconut yogurt bowl! Topped with fresh bananas, blueberries and strawberries, it truly was the perfect breakfast to start a beautiful day in London.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Ned and would definitely stay there again in the future. I would even go as far as to say The Ned is now my favourite hotel in London... There I said it! It was one of the highlights of my London trip and I cannot wait to go back, even just for the amazing food at Kaia. I really want to try the other poke bowls, the other restaurants, and see the massive vault door!

Have you ever stayed at The Ned?
